How to upload JSON file in income tax portal

  1. Step 1

    Log in to your income tax portal. https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/

  2. Step 2

    After logging in, following screen will be shown and Click on E-file option and then Income Tax Returns then File Income Tax Return and proceed accordingly.

  3. Step 3

    Following screen will appear on your screen, Select Assessment Year from drop down list.

  4. Step 4

    Following screen will appear on your screen, Now Select Mode of Filing to Offline then Select Filing Type form Drop Down List.

  5. Step 5

    Following screen will appear on your screen, If you are not audited u/s 44AB or political party as per section 13A then Click on NO and select ITR type to ITR-1.

  6. Step 6

    The following screen will appear on your screen, Now you can upload your JSON file here then click on Proceed to verification .

  7. Step 7

    The following screen will appear on your screen, After that your return will be filed Successfully, and now you can do E-Verification to verify your return.
